Find heaven at new spa on Grenada this winter

5th August 2008 Print
Find heaven at new spa on Grenada this winter When the renowned Calabash Hotel & Villas shut for just over a month on 1st September, construction will begin on Heaven & Earth, a brand new spa facility, which is scheduled to open in October.

Set on a natural hillside on the west side of the Calabash overlooking the beach and the sea at Prickly Bay, Heaven & Earth will be completed during the closure period and will be open for the winter season.

The aim of Spa Director, Sally Dawson, who joins the Calabash in October, is to recognise individual guests’ needs by providing personal and tailor-made strategies and therapies. She will offer massages with essential oils to combat stress and related problems, with the aim of helping to improve quality of life.

Since Grenada has a multitude of natural products such as nutmeg, coconut and cinnamon oils, Sally’s intention is to use as many local products as possible in her treatments.

Treatments will include Swedish massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Reiki and Indian head massage, as well as Facials, Manicures and Pedicures.

A yoga pavilion will also be incorporated at the spa, allowing classes to be held overlooking Prickly Bay.

All guests will receive a complimentary head and neck massage voucher when the hotel re-opens in October.

Special prices for one week’s holiday, including return flights from Gatwick, private resort transfers, and accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis, are available from £870 per person in October and November, based on two sharing.
