The Royal Yacht celebrates Chef of the Year shortlisting

The Hotel Chef of the Year category recognises chefs running large hotel dining and banqueting operations with covers of more than 250 in any one sitting. The winner will be responsible for the entire brigade and kitchen management, ensuring that menus are executed to the highest possible quality.
“We are absolutely delighted that Fred has been shortlisted”, says Nigel Robson, CEO of The Royal Yacht. “It is a clear recognition of the standard of our restaurants at The Royal Yacht and evidence of the fact that we rank among the top culinary destinations in Britain. We are really proud of Fred’s achievement - a culmination of the very hard work of all our kitchen and restaurant staff.”
Fred features in the shortlist alongside Simon Young of the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London and Anthony Marshall of the London Hilton on Park Lane.
“It’s a great honour to be shortlisted for such a top industry award”, says Fred Tobin. “It is testament to the hard work of the entire team involved in creating an exceptional dining experience for the hotel’s guests and it is great to know that the industry has recognised our efforts.”
The winners of each category will be announced at a special Hotel Cateys Awards Dinner on 7th November 2008 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
