Travel + Leisure Magazine’s avid, discriminating travellers have spoken – and Kaua‘i is a resounding theme. The magazine’s “13th Annual World’s Best Awards Readers’ Survey” results were recently announced and three Kaua‘i hotels, as well as the island itself, were cited as among the best in their respective categories.

Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i Resort & Spa, Kaua‘i Marriott Resort & Beach Club and Princeville Hotel garnered status as “Top 25 Hotels in Hawaii,” while Kaua‘i was voted a Top 10 Island worldwide.

All three of the Kaua‘i hotels honoured are frequently acclaimed resorts with highly regarded golf courses. They along with award-winning standalone courses Kiahuna and Puakea, offer a combined 117 golf holes and six courses under the tagline “Kaua‘i: Discover Golf’s Ultimate Island Green.”

Princeville is home to the Prince and Makai courses, Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i proudly offers Poipu Bay Golf Course as an amenity, and the Kaua‘i Marriott Resort & Beach Club includes Kaua‘i Lagoons Golf Club among its many activity options.

The characteristics Travel + Leisure readers considered when voting for top hotels were rooms/facilities, location, service, restaurants/food, and value.

For islands the subjects included natural attractions, activities/sights, restaurants/food, people, and value.

“Kaua‘i is honored by these objective endorsements because of the source – Travel + Leisure readers – people who are experiencing first-hand what each property has to offer for a wonderful getaway,” said Sue Kanoho, Executive Director of the Kaua‘i Visitors Bureau.

Kaua‘i’s natural wonders include the 3,567-foot deep Waimea Canyon, dubbed “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific”, and the 3,000-foot towering mountain cliffs overlooking the Napali Coast along the northwest shoreline.

A wealth of outdoor activities like kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, mountain tubing, horseback riding, ATV adventures, zipline aerial tours, helicopter and boat tours, offer memorable vacation experiences for the whole family. For more information about the Garden Isle, visit Kauaidiscovery.com.
