Fashion Week season is nearly upon us so Hotels.com has selected the best hotels in the fashion capitals - New York, London, Paris and Milan - to suit every budget. Whether you want to splash the cash or tighten your belt, here’s how to do it.

New York

SPREE
Gramercy Park Hotel (five-star)
From £312 per room per night

Home to many an exclusive fashion week after-party, this legendary Bohemian hotel is just across the street from Gramercy Park. The hotel mixes Venetian, Viennese and British designs and displays contemporary art by the likes of Andy Warhol and Damien Hirst. The Private Roof Club and Garden is exclusive to hotel guests and private members and is filled with designers and models during fashion week. The club is on the 16th-floor and has a retractable roof, revealing one of the best views in the city.

The Time Hotel (four-star)

The Time Hotel is a boutique design hotel in the heart of Manhattan's fashionable West Side and is just seconds from Times Square, Central Park and plenty of designer discount stores such as the Nine West outlet. Renowned designer Adam Tihany has designed many elements of the hotel including the guestrooms which are red, blue or yellow to create a calming atmosphere. If you fancy seeing a Broadway show or two, discounted seats are available through the concierge.

London

The Mayfair (five-star)

The luxury Mayfair hotel, in exclusive Mayfair, is the official hotel for London Fashion Week and is a great place to spot the stars. The Mayfair Bar, with its chic décor, serves the signature Mayfair Mojito and the Amba bar and grill serves classic British cuisine prepared in an exhibition kitchen. The Wellness Centre offers a full range of treatments including Pevonia facials and Egyptian cleansing rituals. The Regency Hotel is seconds from the V&A museum and The National History Museum, which will host London Fashion Week this year. The hotel retains many of the original Regency period architecture in a beautiful townhouse atmosphere. The Pavilion Restaurant serves an extensive menu and the bar boasts a wide selection of fine wines. All guestrooms are contemporary in design and come with wireless internet access.

Milan

According to those in the know, Brits stay at the Principe Hotel and Americans stay at the Four Seasons but it is the ever stylish French that stay at the Bulgari Hotel. Paris

Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana, one of this year’s hottest designers, will be showing her new collection at the hotel on 27th September. Built as a private house in 1810 and converted to a hotel in 1950, the hotel retains its typical 19th century Haussmann style balconies.
