Beach will stay beautiful thanks to Le Méridien Al Aqah Nestled between the Hajar Mountains and the Indian Ocean, Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort is set to remain the ultimate haven for luxury seekers following its $2 million investment in the 230m of golden coastline that surrounds the five-star resort.

Both first-time and returning guests will be delighted by the new beachside additions to Le Méridien Al Aqah’s already impressive selection of restaurants. Not to mention some very innovative parasols.

“They’re the first of their kind in the region, and our guests will love them,” explains Patrick Antaki, General Manager. “Guests relaxing on the beach can use these hi-tech parasols to call for instant waiter service at the touch of button. They’re a contemporary addition to improve the complete guest experience.”

Built on the beach, the brand new Gonu Bar and Grill will please the most discerning food-lovers with its sophisticated dining experience and breathtaking viewpoint. While guests with a palette for international cuisine will soon find comfort at the new Italian al fresco restaurant, Sapore, scheduled to open in January 2009.

These new amenities are complemented by the natural beauty of the beach that has been painstakingly cleaned and restored, following a cyclone in 2007. Le Méridien Al Aqah has played a major part in this rejuvenation, planting 100 new coconut palms along the shoreline and hosting a beach clean-up in partnership with Emirates Diving Association to mark Earth Day 2008.

Le Méridien Al Aqah’s commitment to the local environment is also evident in its recycling policies, as Patrick Antaki explains: “All paper, glass, plastic, linen, and used oils from the resort get recycled. And since water is such a precious resource in countries as dry as the U.A.E., water from the resort is treated and used for landscape irrigation.”

Le Méridien Al Aqah’s beautiful new beach and approach to sustaining it will continue to make it a firm favourite amongst the families, couples, and businesses that frequent the luxurious resort.

Get a glimpse of the luxury for yourself by visiting Patrick Antaki, General Manager at Le Méridien Al Aqah, and his award-winning team on stand ME0200 at the World Travel Market, ExCel London, 10-13 November 2008.
