24th October 2008 Print
With Halloween creeping up on us, it’s the time to be chilled and thrilled in some spooky fun with your friends and family! This year Halloween lands on a Friday night, making it the perfect time to have an eerie escape with a weekend away. The Wigan West Premier Inn offers the perfect place to really Rest In Peace as the 200 year old building holds an interesting past.

Local legend has it that the ghosts of a young girl and a nun haunt the corridors of the Premier Inn.

This Halloween Wigan West are inviting their bravest guests to medium sessions from 8pm-5am. Local psychics will also be at the hotel to give guests a tour of the spookiest areas including the cellar, in hope to catch a glimpse of a ghostly sighting, making it the perfect place to stay this Halloween!

The building was originally a huge manor house, home to a very rich man and his family. One tragic day, his daughter fell to her death from the balcony. The house was sold onto a group of local nuns and became a nunnery. As the years went on, and the nuns passed away, they were buried at the back of the building. In the 1970’s Wigan West Premier Inn was built and there have been numerous sightings over the years including the little girl, the nuns and a man standing at the end of a guest’s bed.

Room rates start at just £50 per room per night and each room can accommodate up to two adults and two children (aged 15 and under). All Premier Inn rooms offer an en suite bathroom remote control TV/radio alarm; tea/coffee making facilities, and a spacious desk area with Internet access.
