Pedal power at Le Méridien Al Aqah

The 180km race has been planned to coincide with World Diabetes Day (WDD), the international campaign introduced in 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

The east coast’s first five-star resort will greet the race winners and all participants with refreshments, first aid and entertainment. to cool off and relax after the several-hour bike ride from Dubai.
The resort’s participation in the event reflects its community involvement and its extensive corporate social responsibility programme. During Ramadan, Le Méridien Al Aqah hosted a charity iftar this week for more than 60 hard-working Fujairah municipality workers, and last month saw the resort host an event for 120 elderly people from around the Emirates, to mark the International Day of the Elderly. On 2 December, Le Méridien Al Aqah will host Al Aqah Funday to raised funds for the Angel Appeal for Seafarers support Boat and a Fujairah charity organization.
