Eichardt’s offers new and exclusive high country experience Business executives are being offered a complete change of scenery and pace for corporate retreats at an exclusive high country property in Central Otago. Corporate groups staying at Queenstown’s Eichardt’s Private Hotel this summer can also experience the iconic hotel’s stunning high country property during a full day adventure featuring a range of activities, complemented by a superb gourmet lunch prepared by award winning Head Chef Varick Neilson.

General Manager Victoria Shaw said she was excited about hosting the hotel’s guests in New Zealand’s beautiful back country, describing it as a truly unique and exceptional experience.

“The stunning beauty of the property has remained largely hidden to all but a select few until now,” she said.

“The station incorporates 90,000 acres of breathtaking scenery, adventure and heritage. It’s the ultimate playground and the perfect retreat for busy executives.”

The exclusive full day high country adventure starts with a stunning scenic flight from Queenstown directly to the property where guests are greeted by their hosts. In the morning they will enjoy farm demonstrations and learn about life on a genuine high country station. After a hearty lunch, the afternoon includes a 4WD guided tour of the station to learn about the rich cultural heritage of the area before heading down the famous Skippers Canyon Road along the Shotover River back to Queenstown. This takes the group through the heart of gold mining country with many remnants of the 1862 gold rush still visible today.

“This customised guided adventure provides an insight into the rich history of the area and how, to this day, pioneers etch a living out of farming the rugged high country of New Zealand,” said Ms Shaw.

Chef Neilson, who has previously won numerous Restaurant of the Year accolades and came to Eichardt’s from some of New Zealand’s top luxury lodges, will create a gourmet musterer’s lunch using only the finest and freshest ingredients.

“Guests will be served a delicious lunch with seasonal dishes, organic products and exceptional local wines in a pristine lakefront setting.

“The gourmet lunch, the helicopter flight, the heritage, the breathtaking scenery, and 90,000 acres of exclusive high country to play on, all combine to make this an exceptional and incomparable experience,” said Ms Shaw.

Eichardt’s special summer corporate retreat package includes three nights exclusive use of the hotel, private breakfast each morning, pre-dinner cocktails and canapés each evening, and a full day adventure at the hotel’s private high country property.

Eichardt’s Private Hotel features five opulent hotel suites in the original historic hotel, and four two-bedroom suites in the new neighbouring Lakefront Cottage. All are situated in a premium lakefront position in the heart of Queenstown.
