The Landings St. Lucia unveils second phase

December’s phase two opening will incorporate 60 additional one-, two-, and three-bedroom villa suites, bringing the resort’s total suite count to 122. Each spacious accommodation offers a fully equipped kitchen and two large balconies or landscaped terrace, many with heated, jetted plunge pools. The Landings will also introduce a resort boutique, two tennis courts, an adult-only serenity pool and a family-friendly pool, bringing the total pool count to three.
And Richard Lyon, a 34-year veteran of the hospitality industry, is the new managing director of The Landings. Most recently, Richard spent 27 years with Marriott International before starting up Lyon Consulting, a hospitality industry consulting company out of Cape Town, South Africa.
During his tenure with Marriott, he held general manager positions at high-profile international resorts such as JW Marriott Mumbai in India; Renaissance Chancery Court in London, UK; Warsaw Marriott Hotel in Poland and Budapest Marriott Hotel in Hungary. He also gained managerial experience at properties in Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Richard began his career in an extensive five-year management operations training program with the Savoy Hotel Group, followed by two years working with Swiss International Hotels.
