The May Fair named official hotel of London Fashion Week

The May Fair named official hotel of London Fashion Week This February will see the typical flurry of fashionable activity as the fashion world descends on London. At the centre of everything proudly stands the May Fair Hotel, which has been announced as the official hotel of London Fashion Week for the second year running.

The May Fair’s relationship with the British Fashion Council will cover six seasons over a three-year period. Once again the hotel will look after the well being of the international fashion pack in London.

Located right in the centre of the Mayfair village, the May Fair Hotel is at the heart of London Fashion Week and the place to see and be seen. The hotel is bracing itself for action, as it once again becomes the nerve centre of British style, where the top designers will hold court with supermodels, fashion scribes and the all-important buyers who will make sure the world are wearing the hottest British designers in the months that follow.

And once the action of London Fashion Week – which celebrates it’s 25th anniversary this year - is under way, bringing the palpable fashion fever to London around every season, the fashion insiders will be on the lookout for some respite from the relentless round of parties. Those who feel in need of some reviving spa time would be hard-pressed to find themselves in more capable, rejuvenating hands. The May Fair Spa has crafted a number of express treatments to deal with LFW fatigue, in particular The Oxygen Revival Treatment; which will leave you feeling energised, glowing with vitality and supermodel-esq in no time.

All bases have been covered so whether the fashion tribes suffer from tired, aching feet, as they strut from show-to-show in their achingly hip but painfully high Nicholas Kirkwood killer heels or dark circles from the endless round of late night partying, the May Fair Spa will guarantee they’ll be back on their feet and facing the world with radiance in no time at all. In September the hotel hosted The Model Sanctuary, in one of the iconic signature suites, working with Erin O’Connor to offer a place of rest, relaxation and recuperation for all those on the catwalk trail.

The May Fair also offers The Hub, which will also act as a drop-in centre for designers and industry stalwarts, who will be able to conduct impromptu meetings in privacy. The Hub is located in the Amba restaurant, where members of the international fashion community will be invited to enjoy refreshments and a bite to eat. While the corridors will be awash with designers, models and the movers and shakers of the fashion world, the hotel has a stunning selection of world- class signature suites in which to showcase collections, fashion brands and more besides. Their plush portfolio of offerings also includes the Crystal Room, the Danziger Suite, the Amba Salon, plus a private cinema for special event screenings.

Charles Oak, General Manager of The May Fair Hotel said, “We are delighted to be working with the British Fashion Council as the official hotel of London Fashion Week for the second season running. The relationship and our position as the Official Hotel of London Fashion Week has changed perception from what people thought we were to what we really are - a young, fashionable and connected central London hotel.”

And while much of London Fashion Week is accessible only to professionals in the industry, the May Fair will ensure that everyone can have some access to the LFW experience. The May Fair Bar will crackle with energy and spill over with the fashion industry elite. Meanwhile, the Mixology team will unveil an unrivalled combination of old classics, modern interpretations and bespoke drinks so that the London Fashion Week experience can be enjoyed by all.
