New Year brings new management to prestigious London hotel

The prestigious InterContinental London Park Lane has announced the appointment of Alvaro Rey as General Manager. Alvaro joined the flagship London property on 12th January 2009, having spent the past two and a half years enjoying warmer climates as General Manager for InterContinental Sydney.

Prior to that he was General Manager at InterContinental Buenos Aires in Argentina, InterContinental São Paulo in Brazil and InterContinental Cali in Colombia. He has been working with InterContinental Hotels Group since 1984.

Alvaro comments: “I am very much looking forward to my new position at InterContinental London Park Lane. It is clear that the existing team here has worked hard to create an enormously desirable destination; from its award-winning collaboration with Theo Randall, to the beautiful spa, stunning signature suites and the various art associations led by Coriander & Ackerman.
