Dublin hotels prove a good option for February

In the first month of the year hotel prices have decreased by three percent in comparison to the previous month. The trivago Hotel Price Index shows that an overnight stay in a standard double room costs on average 97 pounds in February.

In particular the price of a double room in Dublin fell by 33 per cent from January to February to 97 pounds per night. An analysis of other cities in the Republic of Ireland which are not featured in the index shows the same story. In Galway the average hotel price decreased by 24 percent (from 130 pounds to 106 pounds) and in Cork hotel prices dropped by 11 percent in February (104 pounds for a double room).

The trivago.co.uk hotel price index shows the average overnight accommodation prices for the most popular European cities on trivago. The average prices for a standard double room are calculated on the basis of 40,000 daily price inquiries for overnight hotel stay generated through the trivago hotel price comparison.
