Rediscover the old world wines

16th February 2009 Print
The Isle of Eriska Hotel and Spa, Argyll, is offering a two night wine lovers’ break from £330. The five AA red star hotel, situated on its own private island off Scotland’s west coast has teamed up with Edinburgh-based wine suppliers L’Art du Vin to take wine aficionados on a ‘Tour de France’ on 7 March 2009.

L’Art du Vin’s founder Philippe Larue will showcase wines from the Loire, Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Rhone, Champagne and a number of less well known areas, allowing guests to try some of the premier wines made in those regions.

Isle of Eriska’s award-winning head chef Robert MacPherson has created a special menu for the occasion: featuring fresh, local produce all dishes will complement a specific wine to help make the night a unique culinary experience.

The two night break is available from £330.00 per person including two nights’ DBB accommodation in the five AA red star hotel and a tutored tasting on the Saturday evening.
