When the couple is chauffeured to the nearby Cabo San Lucas Airport, where a private helicopter awaits and their butler greets them with a heart-shaped picnic basket complete with champagne and special gourmet treats, the lady believes they are just going for an exciting helicopter ride. And for the next half hour, the couple soars over the Sea of Cortez and Los Cabos. Meanwhile, back at the resort the Department of Romance has sprung into action. A message, written in seashells and flower petals, is written in the sand in front of the resort at the edge of the Sea of Cortez that reads, “Marry Me (with her name)”

The highlight of the air tour is a swing over Las Ventanas when the lady discovers the surprise message on the beach. At that moment, he opens the heart-shaped basket, brings out the engagement ring and uncorks the champagne. It’s a proposal she’ll never get over and she’ll be walking on air all the way home.
