Unlimited golf in French luxury

The promotion runs until the end of the year and means anyone booking for three nights at Chateau des Vigiers in one of their ’Classic’ or ‘Tradition’ rooms can get an extra night free.
In addition, guests can enjoy four days’ unlimited golf on any of Chateau des Vigiers’ three nine-hole loop golf courses designed by Donald Steel, three three-course dinners in their exclusive restaurants and full access to the spa facilities.
Bernard Pétine, managing director of Chateau des Vigiers, which lies between Bordeaux and Bergerac, said: "At Chateau Des Vigiers, we realise the importance of supplying a superb product at a great price and this offer enables us to do just that.
"In the last two years, the repeat business with our guests from the UK has been impressive and this is a way of not only thanking them but also perhaps encouraging more people to visit our great location."
Prices start at 405 euros for the winter season for two people sharing a double or twin room for four nights, rising to 495 euros for spring and autumn (April 1-May 31 and Oct 1-Nov 30) and 585 euros during the busy summer period (June 1-Sept 30).
And there is even something for non-golfers with a complimentary beauty treatment included in the offer, while children under-16 can stay for free (on a bed and breakfast basis when sharing their parents’ room).
Chateau des Vigiers offers 87 hotel rooms, two restaurants, a 27-hole championship golf course and extensive practice facilities, tennis courts, luxury spa and beauty centre - and even its own 17-hectare vineyard producing 100,000 bottles of wine a year.
The third of the resort’s nine-hole golf courses, the 3,575-yard par 36 La Vallée course, opened to widespread acclaim last April while the luxurious four-star hotel ‘Relais des Vigiers’ was officially unveiled in October - nearly doubling Chateau des Vigiers’ accommodation.
The ‘Relais’ was the final phase of Vigiers’ 8 million euros redevelopment work and has been designed specifically with golfers, families and business people in mind.
Each room offers a balcony or terrace with magnificent views overlooking the 450-acre estate while, as well as having three conference rooms, the new hotel also has a bar, breakfast room, swimming pool and fitness room.
Pétine added: "We believe we have created something very special at Chateau des Vigiers. "We are very proud of what we have achieved, the resort truly offers something for everyone and we want as many people as possible to enjoy it.
"A lot of work has taken place over the last two years to enhance the facilities and comfort which means visitors can experience the stunning beauty of the Dordogne in a truly unique and relaxing environment."
Chateau des Vigiers is easily accessible from the UK with airports including London Gatwick, Birmingham, Leeds, Edinburgh, Southampton, Exeter and Edinburgh all flying direct to either Bergerac or Bordeaux.
