Dubai children with special needs enjoy day out

The event, which has been held at the resort since 2005, focused on the resort’s specially designed children’s area, the Penguin Club.
SNF, a non-profit organization, began in Dubai in 2003 as a group of families with special needs individuals who wanted to achieve a sense of community for their special needs loved ones. In 2007, it extended to the SNF Children Development Center, which now has nearly 150 members.
“We believe it’s important to give back to the community what is ploughed into your business. Since the resort opened in 2002, we have received a lot of support from our customers and we want to pass on that goodwill to the community,” said Patrick Antaki, General Manager, Le Méridien Al Aqah.
The fun-packed day began with activities organized by the resort’s animation team, followed by time by the pool and beach, and ended with a nutritious lunch at Views.
“The support we have received from Le Méridien Al Aqah has been crucial in planning events for our students, as we have a limited budget. The visit is a key event on our calendar each year,” said Safia Bari, Director SNF Children Development Centre.
