Fresco painting in Florence

The Savoy Hotel in Florence is offering a painting course in Master Guarnieri’s studio during the months of May and June. The would-be painters as well as those already acquainted with brush and palette skills will be able to learn the “fresco” painting technique over two days of a full immersion course.

This artistic technique, known and practiced since ancient times, is considered one of the most sophisticated, as is evidenced by the numerous precious “fresco” paintings in Florence, for example those that can be admired in Palazzo Vecchio by Giorgio Vasari as well as other famous artists such as Francesco Salviati, Domenico Ghirlandaio and Agnolo Bronzino.

Master Guarnieri will enable participants to experiment by helping to produce a small fresco, from the design stage to the preparing of the tools and materials, and of course the actual painting with pigments.

This package, applicable during May and June, includes three nights (accommodation and breakfast) as well as the painting course for two persons, starting from Euro 790 a night.
