Afternoon tea is blossoming in Belgravia

For one week in May, visitors to the great Chelsea Flower Show will marvel at magnificent floral displays, model gardens and a host of garden structures and artefacts by world famous names. Tying in with this classic event, the Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel brings together the best in gardening and cuisine with the introduction of a specially created Floral Afternoon Tea menu.
Encompassing a variety of mouth-watering sandwiches, cakes, scones, savouries and teas inspired by - or infused with - flowers, the Floral Afternoon Tea menu costs £20 per person and includes treats such as:
- Jasmine fragranced home cured salmon sandwich
- Saffron infused or lavender scones with clotted cream and jam
- Decadent dark chocolate and elderflower tart
- Forest mushroom and thyme bouchee
- Rose hip hibiscus tea
The Floral Afternoon Tea menu will be on offer daily in the hotel’s Mimosa Bar & Restaurant from 18th May to 31st May 2009 between 3pm and 6pm.
Guests wishing to spend the night can check in to the intimate Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel and enjoy the five star facilities and warm service with prices from £219 per room per night based on double occupancy excluding breakfast and taxes.
