Ladies – Get your hair wet with a surf and spa break The recently-refurbished Bay Hotel, located on the stunning Pentire Peninsula near Newquay, is offering an irresistible blend of water-based exhilaration and laidback luxury this summer.

In association with Roxy/Quiksilver, The Bay is laying on Roxy Surf and Spa weekends designed specifically for girls who want to start surfing or improve their skills.

With the golden sands and world-class waves of Fistral Beach just a stone’s throw from your private balcony, The Bay is a wave-rider’s paradise. Exclusive links with the adjacent Quiksilver & Roxy Surf School mean that ex-European champions such as Spencer Hargraves and Grishka Roberts are on-hand to offer coaching sessions while local Roxy riders including Candice O’Donnell, Sophie Hellyer and Holly Donnelly can provide friendly hints and tips whatever your ability.

The Bay itself offers stylish accommodation that mixes state-of-the-art facilities with a relaxed and informal vibe. Home to Fistral Spa – one of the finest spas in the Southwest - it has an indoor heated swimming pool complete with jacuzzi, sauna, steam-room and underwater music, in addition to nine ESPA treatment rooms and a lavish relaxation room – the perfect spot to unwind after an action-packed day in the surf.

The Roxy Surf Weekends cost £165 per person and are available from 3 – 5 July, 24 – 26 July, 21 – 23 Aug, and 4 – 6 Sept. Each weekend includes the following:

- Two night's standard accommodation at The Bay Hotel with breakfast
- Two half-day surf lessons with equipment hire
- Buffet lunch on Saturday
- Membership of Fistral Spa
- Yoga Lesson (Saturday afternoon)
- Photographs on CD
- Goodie bag to take away

“The Roxy Surf weekends are an excellent option for the growing number of girls who are getting into surfing,” says professional Roxy rider Candice O’ Donnell. “It’s all about having fun and this is a great way to learn or improve in a safe, chilled out and friendly environment. The weekends are also fantastic for making new friends, gaining a better understanding of the ocean and getting a bit of fresh air and exercise. You then top it all off with some well-deserved pampering – what could be better?”
