As temperatures rise, prices fall at Le Méridien Al Aqah Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort in Fujairah, which this month won the platinum award for Best Price Value Hotel at the MENA Travel Awards, will continue its value offerings, with a special summer offer of AED 349 on weeknights.

The resort has experienced high occupancy throughout Spring and expects this trend to continue during summer, with an influx of GCC and European visitors, as well UAE residents opting for a holiday closer to home.

“During challenging economic times it’s more important than ever for us to offer our guests value for money. We’re seeing increased interest from people wanting to take short breaks, to recharge, and this offer is ideal for that,” said Patrick Antaki, General Manager, Le Méridien Al Aqah.

The AED 349 offer is per person, per night, on a twin-sharing basis and includes breakfast, taxes and a choice of either lunch or dinner at Views restaurant.

As part of the summer special, the resort will have a pay-for-two-weeknights, and receive a free night’s accommodation during the Holy Month of Ramadan, making it an ideal time for families to enjoy the iftar and suhour menus on offer throughout the resort’s international restaurants.

With summer temperatures in Al Aqah usually about five degrees cooler than other parts of the UAE, Le Méridien Al Aqah is an ideal getaway for families, tourists and executives alike, as well as a chance for companies to devote time to team-building in a relaxed environment using the resort’s animation services.

Popular water activities will be available, including diving, snorkeling and fishing, while for those preferring to pamper themselves Sp Al Aqah has recently added new treatments using Phytomer, natural products created by the French marine-based cosmetology product company.

The resort completed a $2 million beach upgrade in 2008 and has continued to upgrade key facilities, such as the Kids Club, in 2009. New additions for the summer months are a range of toys and facilities at the children’s play area at the Penguin Club.

The kids’ pool is perfect for cooling off during the hot weather, with the introduction of fun activities such as ‘water splash’, using slides and a water fountain, while adults can enjoy the enjoy the resort’s freeform pool, the largest in the East Coast.

The offer commenced on 17 May and will be valid until 20 September 2009. It is only applicable to GCC residents.
