New hotel redefines the Andalucían experience

The Lodge & Spa in Ronda, Malaga has opened from May 2009 after 3 years in creation. The exquisite African inspired hide-away is the brainchild of Christina Piek, who also runs the renowned La Fuente de la Higuera hotel with her husband Pom; a luxury ‘home from home’ to their high-profile clients.

The Lodge has been built on a 28 acre private rural estate surrounded by the natural park; ‘Sierra de las Nieves’, approx 7km from the historic town of Ronda. An ideal all-year -round destination for yoga, wellness and private group bookings, the Lodge is also available for individual bookings (a minimum of two nights stay).

The Lodge itself is made up of seven rooms (doubles and twins) – each with their own luxury bathroom (bathtub and separate shower), fireplace and private terrace. The large and bright lounge/dining room has an open kitchen where you can see the chef preparing your meals and ask him for the recipes. Large sofas and a huge fireplace allow for cosy winter nights in and patio doors surrounding the room open up for hot, breezy summer evenings, looking out onto the uninterrupted views.

The Lodge hosts a high-spec yoga studio (18 x 6 meters) as well as a professional treatment room offering body and massage treatments such as Swedish, Thai, deep tissue and aromatherapy massages, reflexology and sensational herbal peelings. The Lodge offers in-house yoga teachers and detox courses with the option of bringing in external coaches when required. The large outdoor pool is ideally positioned near the spa and studio for added relaxation and exercise. The estate houses thoroughbred horses as well as local farm animals.

The exceptional catering is headed up by the Lodge’s in-house private Michelin trained chef, using fine organic produce from the local region or estate itself, accompanied by fine-wines. Enjoy breakfasts, lunches and dinners al-fresco on the long dining table or on your own private terrace, just as you wish.

Inspiring owners Christina and Pom have combined their finely skilled interior and hotelier experience to produce dreamy interior decoration fusing their signature contemporary flavour with a classic feel.

The Lodge can be reserved per room or as a private residence. Prices range between €115 and €179 per room or €893 (12% discount) for the whole Lodge per night for up to 14 guests, including breakfast. Lunches are A La Carte and the three course gourmet dinner is priced at €42 per person.
