Loch Ness Lodge, a luxurious Highland retreat just 15 minutes from Inverness and set in its own landscaped gardens, landed the prestigious title today (Wednesday, 10th June) at the AA B&B Awards in London.

Now in their 16th year, the AA B&B Awards recognise and reward the excellent services provided by the UK’s very best B&B establishments across six categories. All winners and finalists from this year’s awards will be included in the 40th edition of the AA B&B Guide to be launched in September. The guide gives a definitive rundown of over 3000 AA-inspected properties offering guest accommodation throughout the UK.

Giovanna Grossi, Group Area Manager for AA Hotel Services commented: “We are delighted to recognise and reward Loch Ness Lodge as Guest Accommodation of the Year: Scotland; their standards of hospitality and service are truly exemplary”.

Privately owned and run by Scott and Iona Sutherland, Loch Ness Lodge with its traditional charm features seven lavish and individually styled bedrooms, all overlooking the world famous loch and extends guests a welcoming atmosphere, attentive and discreet personal service.

Scott Sutherland, Partner at Loch Ness Lodge who was in London to collect the award said: “To be voted the best guest accommodation in Scotland by the AA is a tremendous honour, especially as we are only in our second year of operation. We have a very hard-working and dedicated team at the Lodge, and to say we’re thrilled with the award is an understatement.

“Our vision has always been to create a memorable five star experience for our guests, combining first class service, hospitality and facilities to match the five star environment of Loch Ness. Winning this award is testament to our efforts.”

In addition to seven luxurious bedrooms, the Lodge has welcoming public rooms including cosy lounges, a fabulous restaurant with intimate dining areas and in-house spa facilities. It is ideally situated for a wide range of outdoor pursuits and activities from salmon fishing and horse riding to mountain biking and world class golf.
