On 30 April 2008, Air France’s 50th Boeing 777 joined the fleet. The aircraft, a 777-300ER registered F-GZNB, landed at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 9:30, after taking off from Everett airport near Seattle the day before, which is the site of Boeing’s assembly line.

The 50th Boeing 777 will make its first commercial flight from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Singapore.

Air France’s Boeing 777-300ERs can carry 325 passengers on international routes and 472 passengers on the French Caribbean & Indian Ocean network.

With a payload of 57 tonnes, these aircraft have the largest load capacities of all long-haul twin-engined aircraft.

With its two GE 90-115 B engines, the Boeing 777-300ER can cover very long distances. It has an operating range of 14,000 km, which enables Air France to operate, for example, a non-stop service from Paris to Santiago de Chile, which are 13,440 km apart.

The Air France Boeing 777s are the only aircraft to be configured with l’Espace Première cabins and make up just over half of the Company’s wide-bodied fleet. They will serve 30 destinations during summer 2008 and are operated throughout the entire Air France long-haul network.

“The Boeing 777 is a plane particularly adapted to Air France’s profitable growth strategy, primarily focusing on emerging markets in Latin America and Asia. Its operating range, load capacity and powerful engines are perfectly suited to our requirements”, stated Bruno Matheu, Air France Executive Vice President Marketing and Network.

In summer 2008, Air France will be operating 51 Boeing 777s, including 26 Boeing 777-300ERs and 25 Boeing 777-200ERs, in the following configurations:
