Air France provides support for humanitarian flight to Chengdu

On 30 May 2008, in conjunction with Airbus, Air France provided the logistics and technical support for a special humanitarian flight to Chengdu, the capital of the province of Sichuan, which was affected by the earthquake on 12 May 2008.

The Air France Cargo teams, qualified for the Airbus A380, loaded 37 tons of humanitarian freight onto the flight for the benefit of the population of the region affected by the earthquake.

The aircraft took off from Paris-Charles de Gaulle on Friday 30 May 2008 at 4.44 p.m., scheduled to arrive in Chengdu the following morning at 8.00 p.m., local time, with a flight time of 10 hours.
