Air France begins serving Pointe-Noire, Congo

Since 1 April 2008, Air France has been serving Pointe-Noire with three weekly frequencies, with one flight seating 219 operated by Airbus 330 and the two other flights with a seating capacity for 79 operated by Airbus 319. As from 23 June, the Paris-Pointe Noire route will be exclusively operated by Airbus 330-200, representing a 65% increase in capacity compared with last year.

“Today, our service to the Congo, and Pointe-Noire in particular, fits into our global development strategy” stated Etienne Rachou, Senior Vice President Africa & Middle East Air France. Air France has introduced its most modern aircraft on the Paris-Charles de Gaulle – Pointe-Noire route, providing its customers with a high-quality service and product”.

Flight times to and from Pointe-Noire have been specially adapted to ensure customers have access to numerous connecting opportunities at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, to and from the rest of the world.

The A330 is equipped with two cabins: l’Espace Affaires (40 seats) and Tempo (179 seats).

From 1st April to 22 June 2008

From Paris to Pointe-Noire

* Departures on Thursdays and Sundays at 11.15pm – Arrival the following day at 6.05am (flights operated by A319)
* Departures on Tuesdays at 11.15pm – Arrival the following day at 5.55am (flights operated by A330-200)

From Pointe-Noire to Paris

* Departures on Mondays and Fridays at 9.05pm – Arrival the following day at 5.55am (flights operated by A319)
* Departures on Wednesdays at 9.10pm – Arrival the following day at 5.55am (flights operated by A330-200)

As from 22 June 2008

From Paris to Pointe-Noire

* Departures on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11.15pm – Arrival the following day at 5.55am (flights operated by A330-200)

From Pointe-Noire to Paris

* Departures on Wednesdays and Fridays at 9.20pm – Arrival the following day at 5.55am (flights operated by A330-200)

In the Congo, Air France also serves Brazzaville three times weekly, with Airbus 330 and Airbus 340 seating 272.
