26th June 2008 Print
The summer holiday season is fast approaching, and Air France once again forecasts record passenger traffic at its Paris airports over the last weekend in June, with 25% more passengers at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and 10% more at Paris-Orly compared with a normal day.

Between Friday 27 and Sunday 29 June, Air France is expecting:

- 132,600 passengers at Paris-Orly, including 53,000 on Friday 27 June,
- 370,000 passengers at Paris-CDG, including 125,000 on Friday 27 June, and 43,000 bags in transfer.

Over this busy weekend, around 3,600 unaccompanied children (UMs) will travel from Paris-Orly, compared with 800 on an average summer weekend and over 1,800 from Paris-CDG, compared with 370 on average. Up to 480 disabled and reduced-mobility passengers will travel from Paris-Orly, compared with 100 on average, and over 850 from Paris-CDG, compared with 560 on average.

At its two Paris airports, Air France will be mobilizing more staff at Paris-CDG and Paris-Orly.

On flights to popular family holiday destinations in the Caribbean, Indian Ocean, Africa and the Middle East, over 200 family assistants will be working on board alongside the cabin crew.

To save time at the airport and to facilitate travel arrangements, Air France recommends that passengers:

- Check in online, or on their mobile phone;
- Choose their seat;
- Purchase their additional baggage allowance on airfrance.fr;
- And print out their boarding card online, between 30 hours and before the latest check-in time.
