Air France KLM rewarded for sustainable developments

On 27 January 2009, the French Institute of Chartered Accountants rewarded Air France-KLM for the best sustainable development report. Every year, this honour is awarded for the quality of environmental and social information provided by a Company, demonstrating a high level of involvement by stakeholders and a large number of sustainable development indicators.

On this occasion, Pierre Caussade, Vice President of Quality, Environment and Sustainable Development remarked: “this prize rewards Air France-KLM’s commitment to sustainable development and its aim to be exemplary in this domain”.

Since 1996, Air France has published an annual environmental report, now known as the sustainable development report, jointly with KLM since 2004. It can be seen online at http://developpement-durable.airfrance.com.

Air France-KLM is included in the extra-financial indicators of sustainable development Dow Jones Sustainability Index World and STOXX (leader in the aviation and tourism sectors), as well as the FTSE4Good.

Air France-KLM is also present in the "Ethibel” investment register with the "Pioneer" label and the "Global 100" which includes the world's top one hundred companies committed to sustainable development.
