Air France and Air Seychelles renew agreement

2nd June 2009 Print
Dominique Patry, Vice President International Affairs and Alliances at Air France and David Savy, Executive Chairman of Air Seychelles, have renewed the cooperation agreement between the two airlines in Mahé.

This agreement, which came into force on 1 April 2009, covers a three-year period and replaces the agreement signed in 1997.

Under this agreement, Air Seychelles will continue to operate the Paris-Seychelles route on behalf of both airlines. Air France and Air Seychelles will share capacity and each airline will sell seats independently.

Air France and Air Seychelles offer 5 weekly flights between Paris and the Seychelles in B767-300ER aircraft operated by Air Seychelles.

As far as cargo is concerned, Air Seychelles will market all its hold capacity.

“The agreement we are signing today marks a milestone in the relations between our two airlines. Thanks to our exemplary cooperation with Air Seychelles, Air France will continue to offer its customers quality services to and from the Seychelles”, declared Dominique Patry, Air France’s Vice President International Affairs and Alliances.

“We are delighted to be extending our partnership with Air France, which has been a loyal partner over the past twelve years. We have been proud to witness the ongoing expansion of Air France, with an unrivalled international network. Air France has always been sensitive to our needs and to those of the Indian Ocean” added Captain David Savy, Executive Chairman of Air Seychelles.
