2nd April 2008 Print
Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has for the first time brought all key security personnel from outstations under one roof in a bid to further strengthen the vigilance and security measures across the airline's network.

The day-long seminar deliberated on reinforcing effective security systems, identify existing and emerging risks/threats, carry-out gap analysis, develop and promote a pro-active approach to solve day to day problems.

A range of relevant topics were covered in the seminar held at the Golden Tulip hotel.

"Security is of paramount importance to Gulf Air which aims to be the airline of choice," said Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Mr. Björn Näf, who attended the day-long conference.

"We have brought all our key security personnel from across the network as we want to create synergies to further strengthen our vigilance," said Mr. Näf.

Gulf Air's Acting Head of Security Mr. Narinder Pal Yadav thanked the CEO for his support for this conference.

"The seminar has been quite fruitful as it has served as a platform for Gulf Air security personnel to know each other, share their ideas and know about their unique ways to solve the problems including regulatory compliance."

The speakers also included Kroll Director Mr. Pino Falbo, who was invited on the basis of his extensive knowledge in the field of fraud prevention and his close association with the airline.

The seminar also paid tribute to Head of Security Mr Rinus Moerdijk, who passed away last month.
