Gulf Air extends helping hands to children in Nepal

10th March 2009 Print
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, national carrier Gulf Air has extended its help to two schools serving the disadvantaged communities around Gokarna Forest in Kathmandu, Nepal by providing them with much-needed educational items.

The airline donated essential educational tools such as laptops, projectors, DVD players and other useful items to students and teachers of Shree Bhagyodaya Higher Secondary School and Shree Chalantar Lower Secondary School.

"As an airline that has been flying between Bahrain and Nepal for several years, we consider ourselves as part of the community it serves," says Gulf Air Chief Executive Mr. Björn Näf.

"It is gratifying to see even a modest help can bring about considerable difference to these children’s learning experience. It is a reflection of our care and commitment towards developing young minds, wherever they are."

This is one of many of the initiatives that Gulf Air has launched as part of its CSR programme.
