Romance in the world’s most honest city

Romance in the world’s most honest city Where better to take your loved one for a romantic Valentine’s break than the most honest city in the world, located in the only country with 'love' in its name? Following an experiment carried out by Reader's Digest magazine, Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, has been given that honourable title.

The experiment involved choosing several cities around the globe and ‘losing’ 30 mobile phones in each, to see how many of them would be returned to their rightful owners. Ljubljana won, with the highest number of phones being handed in at local police stations.

Specialist tour operator, Just Slovenia, is currently offering exclusive prices at the city’s only boutique hotel, the 16-bedroom Antiq, from just £327 per person for two nights.

The offer, which is valid for departures until 9 April, is based on two people sharing and includes return flights from Stansted, transfers and bed and breakfast accommodation in this individual hotel set on the quaint, cobblestone Gornji square beneath the ancient castle in Ljubljana’s Old Town.
