Ruthin Castle, North Wales - 21 February
Join the Haunting Breaks team for a night to remember at Ruthin Castle in February. Ruthin Castle (the"red fort") originated before 1277 and has a bloody history. The wife of a powerful second in command during Edward I period, murdered his lover with an axe. Sentenced to death, she was buried outside the castle walls. Her ghost, the "Grey Lady" walks the battlements and the castle chapel. Other sightings include a soldier and the spirit of a little girl. Unexplained noises, footprints and changes in temperature have also been reported - do you dare to find out more! A one night Haunting Break here costs £199 per person.

York Pavilion, York, 28 February
York Pavilion Hotel is an elegant grade II listed Georgian country house. This Haunting Break will be hosted by interactive TV's psychic NIKITA.

Ghostly sightings at this venue include the spectre of a woman at the top of the original Georgian staircase and a gentleman in mid nineteenth century apparel sitting in what is now one of the restaurants, smoking a cigar. The night porter is kept on his toes by sudden changes in temperature, the sound of laughter and telephones ringing in empty rooms! A one night Haunting Break here costs £170 per person.

Friars Carse Hotel, Dumfries, Scotland, 4 April
Friars Carse Hotel was frequented by Scottish poet and national treasure Robbie Burns. Set in 45 acres of woodland, the hotel with its magnificent panelled entrance hall and elegant staircase, offers guests an excellent history of hauntings including hooded monks in the grounds, a lady dressed in white in the lower servants quarters and a maid who hung herself. Children's cries have also been heard in the upper floor corridors! The break costs just £170 per person.

Bolebroke Castle, Hartfield, East Sussex, 18 April
Enjoy a taste of the Tudor lifestyle featured in “The Other Boleyn Girl” with a break at Bolebroke Castle in Sussex, the hunting lodge where Henry VIII courted Anne Boleyn. This truly memorable break features dinner in Henry VIII’s great hall, overnight accommodation and breakfast. Many ghostly sightings have been reported in the castle including the figure of a headless women thought to be Anne Boleyn.

The Feathers Hotel, Ludlow – 30 May
Built in 1619, the Feathers Hotel is internationally recognised for its beautiful Jacobean architecture and medieval heritage. Ghostly sightings here have been numerous, a gentleman in Victorian dress accompanied by a dog has frequently been seen walking through room 232 into room 233! The hotel's writing room plays host to a gentleman spirit from James I period who searches for someone by the name of Richard and room 211 is haunted by a lady ghost who dislikes female guests.
