The hotel price comparison website trivago.co.uk has investigated the most popular romantic hotels in the United Kingdom for Valentine’s Day 2009. The Top 10 Romantic Hotels are those that received the best reviews on trivago and were researched the most throughout January.

The top ten are:

1. Rudding Park (Follifoot, Harrogate, North Yorkshire)

Rudding Park Hotel is located in the Yorkshire countryside and can easily be reached from Leeds and York. This four star luxury hotel is the ideal hotel for a romantic weekend away and has 49 rooms and a 18 hole golf course nearby. The hotel is home to one of the best restaurants in North Yorkshire, „The Clocktower” which serves local specialties. A romantic weekend at Rudding Park includes a six course Valentines menu, as well as a bouquet of flowers and champagne.

2. The Howard Hotel (Edinburgh)

The five star Howard Hotel was built in 1829 and has 18 luxury suites. Located in the centre of Edinburgh close to George Street, the Howard Hotel is a small gem in Scotland.
