English Heritage offers the rare opportunity to stay at the Custodian’s House; a cosy cottage located within the walls of Pendennis Castle in Falmouth, which dates back to the 1500s.

The Custodian's House at Pendennis Castle, Cornwall (sleeps 2), one of English Heritage's hugely popular self-catering holiday cottages, is still available for a romantic weekend (Friday 9th - Monday 12th February) or mid-week break (Monday 12th - Friday 16th February).

Combining luxury 21st century interiors with a dramatic heritage setting, the Custodian’s House has been recently renovated and is a perfect getaway for lovers looking for a classic romantic break.

With unparalleled views over the beautiful Cornish coastline at the mouth of the River Fal, the Custodian’s House is an excellent base for exploring the rugged surrounding scenery. Get pulses racing with a walk on the breathtaking cliffs and admire the unspoilt sea views. With Falmouth just a short drive away from St Ives, Truro and Newlyn, this is an ideal spot for absorbing the rich and fascinating history of this beautiful corner of England. Guests can enjoy sampling classic Cornish dishes at the excellent local restaurants and cafes.
