10,000 Easter eggs await at beautiful French chateau

Having fully explored the vast grounds with its Spring flowers in full bloom, guests are also welcome to look around the impressive interior of the castle including the historical bedrooms, reception rooms and its very own theatre that was built in the 19th century by the Duchesse de Brissac.
If the chocolate eggs haven’t satisfied your hunger, you can finish off the afternoon with a little snack sitting around the fireplace in the medieval kitchen, before settling down in one of the four lavishly decorated suites for a very regal night’s sleep.
Located in the heart of the Loire Valley, between the historic cities of Angers and Saumur, the Chateau de Brissac is set within vast grounds overlooking the picturesque village of Brissac. Having been home to the Dukes of Brissac since 1502, the present Marquis Charles-André de Brissac planted the 28-acre ‘five century vineyard’ on the hillside facing the chateau to mark the dwelling’s 500th anniversary in 2002, which offers panoramic views over the different facades of the chateau.
Chateau de Brissac’s Easter egg hunt will take place on Sunday 12 April 2009 between 2pm & 6pm at a cost of 7,80 Euros per adult and 2 Euros per child under 12. Overnight accommodation costs from 390 Euros for two people sharing a room including breakfast and a guided tour of the castle. For more information visit chateau-brissac.fr.
More accessible than ever with low cost flights direct to Nantes from all major regional airports and via Rail Europe and Brittany Ferries, the Pays de la Loire region stretches from the Atlantic coast to Le Mans and is intersected by the famous River Loire with its many tributaries and waterways.
