Easter in a Cornish castle

Grade II listed, Acton Castle was built by the romantic but rheumatic seaweed expert, John Stackhouse, as a wedding present to his betrothed, Susanna Acton in the late 1770s. Now divided into apartments it has a sunken garden with a shallow pond and sensational sea views across to St Michael’s Mount.
