Easter weekend walking breaks

12th March 2009 Print
England, Scotland or Wales is the choice this Easter for a weekend walking escape in the country courtesy of HF Holidays - the UK's largest specialist walking holidays company.

These four night breaks - starting 10 April - take place at a choice of the company's UK Country Houses which will be decorated in an Easter theme and there will be Easter egg surprises for everyone!

All houses are situated in prime walking areas and there's a choice of walks during the day to suit ability - amid green meadows, rolling hills or deep valleys - together with various entertainment in the evenings.

For example, head to the Yorkshire Dales and stay at either Newfield Hall - a 19th century country house situated in extensive grounds near Malhamdale - or at Thorns Hall - a small 16th century manor house situated just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Sedbergh - at a cost of £389 and £379 respectively.

Or, at Alltshellach - formerly the residence of the Bishop of Argyll - situated on the shores of Loch Leven and surrounded by mountain peaks in the Western Scottish Highlands, the cost is £299.

Turning to Wales, the cost is £379 for the break at either Bryn Corach - a turreted house situated at Conwy on the edge of Snowdonia - or at Nythfa House - set in mature grounds on the outskirts of the market town of Brecon.

All prices quoted are per person, based on two sharing and include four nights' full board en-suite accommodation, the programme of organised walks and social activities, transport to and from the walks, plus the services of an HF Holidays' walks leader.
