Celebrate warmer weather with some Springtime fun

Staying in the UK during the Easter holidays doesn’t mean having to skimp on fun - far from it! Thanks to a host of English Heritage events and promising weather forecasts for April, fun-seeking families spending Easter in England are in for a fabulous springtime treat.

From egg hunts to Easter bonnet making, and fairy trails to a medieval tournament, the entertainment on offer at English Heritage properties across the country means that wherever you’ll be, you’re only a hop, skip and a jump away from a cracking day out for all the family.

EASTER TRAIL FOR CHILDREN

Saturday 4 April – Sunday 19 April, 10am – 5pm
Come and take part in our brand new 'egg-citing' new Easter trail. Can you find all the 'eggs-tra' special clues around the property? If you do, a yummy chocolate prize awaits.

MEDIEVAL COURTLY COMBAT

Come and enjoy the splendour of the medieval foot tournament! Meet knights in shining armour, countesses, squires and damsels. Get caught up in the buzz of activity at Kenilworth Castle as you enter the genteel, yet cut-throat world of the medieval court. Observe as costumed ladies and nobles demonstrate the refined pursuits of singing, dancing and storytelling. The darker side of medieval life will also be on display as you watch medieval knights being armed for combat, before clashing in a ‘Tournament of Foote’ and demonstrating the skills of war.
