Easter weekend in Yorkshire
Blow the cobwebs away and get out into the Yorkshire moors, dales or coastline for an Easter weekend break. Yorkshire Cottages is highlighting a selection of three-night Easter weekend breaks - 11 April arrivals - from just £70 per person.
Holly Cottage, for example, is an 18th century cottage - sleeping four - on the outskirts of the pretty village of Brandesburton, close to the coastal resort of Hornsea with its award-winning prom and Blue Flag sandy beach - ideal for bracing walks. An Easter weekend costs just £280.
But for those craving wild beauty, Buttercup Cottage is on the edge of a working dairy farm, near Danby Head, right at the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
There are excellent footpath walks all around the area making it the perfect base for outdoor enthusiasts. The two-bedroom cottage - sleeps four - overlooks stunning rural scenery and costs £300 for the three-night Easter weekend and will accept pets at no additional charge.
Or head for Hawes - gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and home to the Wensleydale Creamery (eat your hearts out Wallace & Gromit!) - and Burnside View, a two-bedroom luxury apartment, just moments from the town centre.
Also sleeping four, it boasts high ceilings and sash windows and has many walks direct from the door and costs £310 for the Easter weekend.
