"Choco-Late" Festival during the Easter break

29th March 2007 Print
Choco Late Festival What could be more apt than a chocolate festival during Easter Weekend? This year, the Bruges Chocolate Festival “Choco-Late” takes place from 6 to 10 April 2007. This is the second such annual festival as the City of Bruges lends itself to everything chocolate in nature! Held in the Oud Sint Jan, this year’s festival is set to be even larger than its predecessor in 2006.

Chocolate manufacturers and suppliers offer a variety of tastings and demonstrations for the public to sample. Competitions and chocolate craft contests are also part of the “rich” activities on offer during the festival. Visitors can take part in specially designed “Chocolate walks” and a visit to the compelling “Choco-story” museum, dedicated to the history, promotion and education of chocolate is definitely recommended.

The city of Bruges boasts dozens of excellent restaurants with menus incorporating chocolate in interesting and innovative recipes. All year round the rich aroma of chocolate wafts through this World Heritage city and countless creative confectioners make hundreds of kilograms of the city’s most famous chocolate. A heaven for “chocoholics”!
