You can’t better Bermuda for an Easter break

Only a six and a half hour flight from the UK, it won’t be long until you’re enchanted by Bermuda’s pink sand beaches, turquoise sea, and the warmth of the local people.
Easter is a wonderful time of year to visit the island. Every Good Friday locals and visitors join together to celebrate the day with a spectacular kite flying competition over Bermuda’s Horseshoe Bay, flooding the skies with vibrant, shimmering colours.
Hollywood legend, Michael Douglas, who’s been coming to the island since his childhood years is a fan of the festival, and is often spotted enjoying the Easter tradition with his family.
The Rhythm of the Island
The holiday spirit continues with couples and families gathering for music and dancing on the powder soft sand. Look out for the Gombey Dancers as their colourful costumes and rhythmic drumming pulsates through the crowds, drawing people from the town to join the beach party.
The Easter break is a great time to make the most of the local cuisine. Dine like a true Bermudian and feast on delicious codfish cakes, traditionally eaten on Good Friday. However, if you and the kids would prefer something slightly more British, hot cross buns are available in restaurants and cafes across the island.
After the festivities, take time to discover some of the island’s family friendly attractions away from the shoreline. The Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo introduces visitors to the mysterious and fascinating world under the sea, and allows them to spot some of Bermuda's native marine life. Dolphin Quest at the Royal Navy Dockyard is also a ‘must-visit’, it’s a chance to see the friendly creatures up close and personal.
Families can even head below the ground and enjoy one of Bermuda’s best days out, at the Crystal Caves. Originally discovered in 1907 by two boys chasing a runaway cricket ball, this underground network of caves boasts fascinating stalactite and stalagmite formations, as well as a mystical underground lake. This is one attraction that is simply not to be missed.
Bermuda is renowned for its exclusivity, but there are still some excellent savings to be made this Easter.
