Walking the Catalan Coast

30th July 2009 Print

Save £50 per person on a walking holiday exploring the Mediterranean coastline of France and Spain - taking in pretty fishing villages, vineyards and orange groves this September - courtesy of specialist operator, Belle France.

Highlights of this seven-night ‘Catalan Coast’ option include picturesque Collioure - the former haunt of artists such as Matisse and Picasso, the wine village of Banyuls where some of France’s sweetest dessert wines are produced and the small Spanish seaside resort of Cadaques.

The route is easy, but does become moderate in places with several steep climbs, and allows plenty of time for ‘pit stops’ along the way to take in the magnificent views and visit the numerous cellars for wine degustation.

The tour can be started on any day in September and the revised twin share price of £709 per person includes mainly half-board hotels, luggage transfers between hotels, plus route notes and maps.

UK travel is not included, but return channel or rail crossings can be arranged on request.
