Eat, drink and be merry in Slovenia

It’s not all gloom and doom on the money front when travelling to eurozone destinations is the message from Slovenia specialist, Holiday Options. Despite the country’s currency being the euro, local costs are considerably cheaper than in the UK and eating out doesn’t cost ‘an arm and a leg’.

On the beverage front, for example, a large draft beer costs the equivalent of £1.60, a glass of wine approximately £1.40 and tea and coffee cost around £1 per cup.

Food wise, a large pizza is priced around £5.50, a two course snack lunch at £7.00 and a three-course dinner averages £13. Children can enjoy an ice cream for just 80p.
