Stratford-upon-Avon to host Halloween Festival

The 4th annual Halloween Festival in Stratford-upon-Avon is to take place at the award winning Creaky Cauldron museum in Henley Street from Thursday 1 October – Sunday 1 November.

The spectacular month long Festival is being organised by ‘Black Letter Days’, providers of the ultimate and most authentic supernatural experiences in the UK.

The Halloween Festival, which is a must for anyone interested in the paranormal, is packed with daily events featuring trick or treating, candlelit ghost stories, ghost walks, Victorian Séances and overnight ghost hunts in the haunted museum. With over 40 separate sightings of ghosts and spirits, it’s no wonder the museum is reputed to be one of the most haunted buildings in England. Very few have been brave enough to spend the entire night there and many have been too terrified to venture upstairs to meet the malevolent spirits that haunt the historic old building.

The annual Stratford Halloween Festival was founded in 2005 by the Creaky Cauldron and has grown in popularity each year attracting thousands of people from all over the UK. The Creaky Cauldron is also home to ‘Seek The Magic’, a business recognised the world over as the leading and most traditional manufacturer of magical wares. Sold from the premises, some herbal recipes are over 350 years old whilst some of the incense blends date back over 2000 years.

The Creaky Cauldron museum is open every day throughout the Festival from 10:30am – 5:30pm. Candlelit ghost stories take place each day at 6.30pm and 7.30pm. Tickets cost £7.50 for adults. Please note the stories are not suitable for under 12's. The Stratford Ripper Ghost Walk takes place daily at 9pm. Tickets cost £7.50 for adults. Victorian Séances take place every Friday night. Tickets cost £25 for adults. The Seven Degrees of Evil Ghost Hunt takes place each Saturday throughout the Festival from 9:30pm – 4:30am. Tickets cost £45 for adults. All events must be pre-booked and are subject to availability.
