Setting trends for 2007, prestigious housebuilder Charles Church and its interior designers Chelsea Mclaine have chosen a design scheme to set the most intrepid home owners heart a flutter.

Margot Paton, interior designer at Chelsea Mclaine comments; “The design scheme was influenced by the new homes surrounding environment, autumnal trees and buildings built of natural stone. We took these elements and carried them throughout the property in the form of natural colours such as stone, greens, acquas and yellows. Yellow particularly, is going to be a trend-setter for 2007”

Chelsea Mclaine wanted to create a contemporary interior to contrast the very traditional exterior of the property, using lots of metal and glass furniture to create an opulent, yet sharp modern edge to the design.

The lounge features a natural limestone fireplace, over-stuffed naturally textured fabric sofa’s from a Scandinavian furniture designer, metal and glass furniture and silk striped curtains featuring the greens, yellows and acquas which are carried throughout the interior design. The silk curtains are traditional material, which once again is given a contemporary twist. All in all the showhome has been designed to tackle the senses, with a rich touch and visual sensation to be found in every room.
