Charles Church staff make dreams come true

Employees at the Bathgate office have been buying items of designer furniture, curtains, fixtures and fittings from Charles Church Scotland's showhomes and the money has been donated to Dreams Come True.
Dreams Come True - a charity that makes the dreams of terminally or seriously ill children become a reality - is the chosen charity of Charles Church and, in the last five years, the housebuilder has raised over £500,000 for the cause.
The proceeds of the sale of ex showhome stock - which amounted to £2,172 - was presented to Carrie Aldous, Corporate Development Executive when she visited Charles Church's Albion Gardens development in Bathgate recently.
Lorraine Clelland, Sales and Marketing Director for Charles Church Scotland, says: "It was lovely to have a representative from Dreams Come True come up to Scotland and to see some of our sites, and collect the money we have raised.
"By selling off old showhome stock to employees we collected over £2,000 for Dreams Come True, and we are delighted to have raised so much money for such a worthwhile charity.
"We also talked with Carrie about other ways of raising money for the charity, and we look forward to continuing our fundraising efforts throughout 2008."
Charles Church Scotland also presented an additional £400 to the charity, which was collected from staff who pay to wear their casual clothes to work every Friday.
