Persimmon Homes scoops yet another award

Persimmon’s involvement in the much admired Anchor Mill building included the restoration of the town’s most prestigious landmark, a former cotton mill built in 1886 adjacent to Paisley Abbey. It is also supported by Paisley Vision which works to promote the interests of Paisley.
The restoration has now become an iconic symbol of regeneration in the area and this has been proven by the renewed confidence felt by local people, leading to the development becoming a sales success.
The recognition scheme aims to highlight and drive national housebuilders towards better neighbourhoods through good quality design, thus encouraging general good practice in the building of better places.
The acclaimed Anchor Mill was just one of two Scottish projects to be recognised and this particular accolade comes just months after Persimmon Homes was recognised by Homes for Scotland’s Quality Awards, in which the company’s Sheriff Court building won the conversion category and Anchor Mill was also commended.
“At Persimmon Homes we always strives to deliver quality in all our developments and to be recognised for this at our Anchor Mill project is proof of our dedication to providing the highest possible standards within the housebuilding industry,” says Doug Law, managing director for Persimmon Homes West Scotland.
Persimmon Homes West Scotland is currently building at a number of developments across the region with sites in Ardrossan, Irvine, Saltcoats, Moodiesburn Cambuslang, Carluke, Stepps, Airdrie, Bonnybridge, Dumfries, Greenock, Gourock, Cumbernauld, Inverkip and Law.
