From Braehead to the Big Apple Redrow Homes has brought a taste of Manhattan to Braehead with the opening of a sophisticated and stylish new show apartment at its Riverside Point development.

Decorated in striking shades of purple with modern chrome furniture and dazzling light fittings this two-bedroom mock up apartment gives homehunters the chance to sample a taste of life at Riverside Point.

Diana Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (Scotland) says:

“We’re delighted to have this wonderful new show apartment because when it comes to buying a home, being able to see it ‘in the flesh’ can really help you make that all important decision.”

Glamour is the top of the list in this show apartment, which pays homage to the stylish New York district of Manhattan.

Classic prints of movie greats line the walls and the master bedroom, which comes with an ensuite shower room, features a large mirrored headboard above the plush double bed.

The living/dining area has French windows, making it light and airy and is separated from the kitchen area by clever sliding doors, which allow householders to close off the kitchen but can also be left open to give an open plan feel, which is ideal for entertaining.

The second bedroom also follows the cream and purple theme and there is a main bathroom, featuring a white suite with chrome fittings and fixtures.

Riverside Point is being built with the community in mind and will eventually comprise 342 new homes, with an array of apartments, two and three-bedroom terrace and semi-detached houses, three and four-bedroom townhouses and four-bedroom detached villas to choose from.

Landscape architects have carefully considered planting with avenues of trees and shrubbed areas and the homes will share the footprint of Redrow’s existing design portfolio, but their contemporary exteriors will be quite different from the developer’s previous homes in Scotland.

Diana says: “Riverside Point is an exciting development of stylish, modern homes and we will be offering something to suit all tastes, from apartments, ideal for young professionals and first-time buyers to four-bedroom homes, with the living space arranged over three floors, perfect for growing families.

The development has proved extremely popular with buyers of all types. There has been a huge demand for the family homes and there is a fantastic response to the recently released 2 and 3 bedroom apartments particularly since the launch of the show apartment. Now people can truly visualise the quality and value for money these new homes represent.

Current availability from Redrow includes the three-bedroom Lambourne townhouse priced from £210,000 and the four-bedroom Ribble from £249,995, which both have their roof space cleverly converted to create a sumptuous master bedroom and en-suite and the four-bedroom Forth townhouse at £246,000. There are also two and three-bedroom apartments priced from £148,995.

The area has fantastic local amenities – not least the Braehead shopping and leisure centre and Xscape family entertainments complex which are a stone’s throw away from Riverside Point.

The River Clyde is just a short stroll away and families will be attracted by the availability of several nurseries and primary schools in the area, whilst Renfrew High School is within walking distance.

It is also convenient for Glasgow city centre and offers easy access to the M8, linking to the motorway network, and Glasgow International Airport, making it the ideal location for commuters.

A comprehensively equipped s new marketing suite is also now open at Riverside Point, off Andrew Avenue, daily from 10am to 5.30pm. Visitors can experience the concept of living in this urban village by viewing the model and computer generated DVD and browsing the numerous options packages.
