Buyers on a winning streak at Riverside Point
Two home buyers at Riverside Point got more than they bargained for when they visited a show home launch at Redrow's Braehead development. As if securing property at the popular development wasn't enough, Doreen Dow and Jennifer Campbell also scooped fantastic prizes in a free prize draw held as part of the celebrations.Doreen bagged £500 of travel vouchers, while Jennifer won a £300 shopping spree.
Doreen has bought a two-bed apartment at Riverside Point, which she will be moving into with her daughter Natalie, aged 20.
She said: "I had a good look round at other developments before I settled on Riverside Point but I got a good feeling about it straight away and knew it was where I wanted to move. It is a lovely development in a lively area and it's great to be so close to the river.
"I was very impressed with the layout of the apartment. A lot of the other apartments I had viewed had a small second bedroom but the bedrooms at Riverside Point are evenly sized.
"I completely forgot about entering the prize draw so it was a lovely surprise. I never win anything so maybe my luck is changing. I've already booked a holiday for this year but I'd like to use the vouchers for a mini-break."
Jennifer, who works in medical sales, has bought a four-bedroom house in the ‘Otter' design, which she will be moving into with her husband.
She said: "We are upgrading from a three-bedroom semi to a four-bedroom detached home. We chose Riverside Point because we really liked the look of the development - the properties are traditional yet modern.
"The shopping vouchers came in handy because I have been able to use them to buy new furnishings for the new house."
Riverside Point will eventually comprise 342 new homes from Redrow, with an array of apartments, two and three-bedroom terrace and semi-detached houses, three and four-bedroom townhouses and four-bedroom detached villas to choose from.
The area has fantastic local amenities - not least the Braehead shopping and leisure centre and Xscape family entertainments complex, which are a stone's throw from Riverside Point.
The River Clyde is just a short stroll away and families will be attracted by the availability of several nurseries and primary schools in the area, whilst Renfrew High School is within walking distance. It is also convenient for Glasgow city centre and offers easy access to the M8, linking to the motorway network, and Glasgow International Airport, making it the ideal location for commuters.
