Home buyers find out what’s cooking in Inverkip

And the professionally designed and decorated ‘Wareham’ show home wasn’t the only tasty dish on the menu at Sylvan Brae.
Redrow had teamed up with The Cook School Scotland, at Braehead Foods, in Kilmarnock, and their head chef Jason McNelly was at Sylvan Brae to cook up some seafood delicacies for visitors.
His bite-size demonstrations and tastings were the perfect accompaniment to Redrow’s new show home, which is promoting a new selection of detached family homes with stunning views towards the Firth of Clyde and the beautiful mountains of Argyll.
Initial prices are from £199,950 for a four-bedroom ‘Langdale’, up to £334,950 for the largest property on the development, a five-bedroom detached ‘Windermere’.
The beautiful new four-bedroom Wareham show home depicts a contemporary, family home, with a delicious colour scheme of blacks, browns and cream, plus splashes of gold for a touch of opulence. It boasts a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and family room at the rear of the house, overlooking the garden, and it was here that Jason showed off some tricks of the trade.
Diana Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (Scotland), said: “This part of the house is a fantastic space which just lends itself to entertaining and Jason helped us to show off our kitchen at its very best – proving that it not only looks good but is practical too.
“We got lots of compliments for our show home over the weekend and the open plan kitchen / dining / family area was undoubtedly one of the highlights, with its top name built-in appliances, floor to ceiling units for maximum storage and a double set of patio doors creating a bright, airy and comfortable space for all the family to enjoy.
“People also loved the ‘Jack & Jill’ en-suite bathroom which serves bedrooms two and four with inter-connecting doors.”
Sylvan Brae will eventually comprise 89 three, four and five-bedroom detached homes at Hill Farm, in Inverkip, which are already appealing to local families as well as Glasgow and Greenock commuters.
Those with an existing property to sell can sign-up for Redrow’s assisted move scheme, which will help them find a buyer with the minimum of fuss and pay their estate agent’s fees at the end of the day.
The new homes are close to Inverkip railway station, from where the journey to Glasgow Central takes approximately 45 minutes.
The village of Inverkip has one of the largest marinas in Scotland, providing supplies and support for over 700 pleasure craft. The village is home to a local store and post office, plus a well regarded primary school and library, with a full range of amenities six miles away in Greenock.
The new Wareham show home is open daily at Sylvan Brae, off Spey Road, Inverkip, from 10am to 5.30pm. For further details log on to redrow.co.uk/developments/view/250.
